A recommended travel itinerary for a week’s vacation in Costa Rica would include 1-3 destinations. For a relaxing and restful vacation, a week at a beach destination would be recommended. A combination of 2-3 destinations would include San Jose, Arenal Volcano or Monteverde Cloud Forest and a visit to a beach destination. An extended vacation of 2-3 weeks allows visitors to see many of the highlights of the country including the capital of San Jose, the interior mountain range of volcanoes, the Osa Peninsula, adventure tours, coffee plantations and visits to the Caribbean and/or Pacific Coasts. Travel by rental vehicle, private or group van transportation or domestic flights are all recommended forms of transportation in Costa Rica.The Costa Ricans are proud of their country’s natural beauty and easy-going population.
