Jaco Costa Rica is located on the Central Pacific coast, about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, making it a very popular beach among locals. It is famous for surfing and for the 2 miles of dark sand beach. During the day visitors can enjoy wildlife adventures like horseback riding and canopy tours or travel to one of its neighboring surfing beaches like Hermosa, Herradura and Esterillos. The Carara National Park is also very close-by. This protected area includes several ecosystems such as swamps, a lagoon, secondary and primary forests and is home to one of the bigger scarlet macaw populations of Costa Rica.

Located in Playa Herradura, La Iguana Golf Course is an 8-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Ted Robinson. With great views, a great challenge for both professionals and amateurs with a great view.
The horseback riding takes place in the incredible rainforest near Jaco Beach. Observe the evergreen habitats and incredible ocean views, as well as different species of animals, such as monkeys, sloths, raccoons, coatis and toucans.

Carara National Park

Jaco Beach is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the San Jose International Airport (87 kms /54 miles). Jaco Beach lies between several mountains, and is bordered by the beaches of Herradura and Playa Hermosa. The Manuel Antonio National Park is located 73 kilometers south of Jaco.
