Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica!
Private transportation will be provided from the Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) to your hotel in Alajuela for your first night in Costa Rica. Check in at your hotel. Night in Alajuela.
Day 2: Alajuela
This day you will enjoy a full day adventure visiting the Poas Volcano, a coffee plantation and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. At the coffee plantation you will learn about coffee and taste the local cuisine and one of the best coffees in Costa Rica. At La Paz Waterfall Gardens, you will find some amazing waterfalls, extensive walking trails, a butterfly farm and a sanctuary for wild animals like jaguars, pumas, monkeys, toucans and macaws. Return to your hotel. Night in Alajuela.
Day 3: Alajuela - Monteverde
Private transportation will be provided to Monteverde. Monteverde offers amazing sights of the cloud forest, varieties of rare plants and insects and one of the best birdwatching in the country. Check in at your hotel. Night in Monteverde.
Day 4: Monteverde
After breakfast, start your full day adventure tour at Selvatura Canopy and Hanging Bridges. This safe and guided tour provides a unique vantage point of the cloud forest that was once reserved only for birds and scientists. You will also get to visit the butterfly garden, the sloth sanctuary and the reptile exhibition, all located on the same property. Night in Monteverde.
Day 5: Monteverde
Day at leisure.
As the sun sets , you will start your Monteverde Cloud Forest night tour. The forest comes alive with sounds as you make your way across tree roots, stairs, and rocky terrain using your flashlight to explore and look for insects, mammals, and birds. Your tour guide will help you maximize your viewing experience. Night in Monteverde.
Day 6: Monteverde - Tamarindo
Morning private transportation will be provided to Tamarindo Beach, Guanacaste. Tamarindo is one of the most popular beaches in Costa Rica. With a long sandy beach and warm waters all year round, this beach is a well known surfing spot. At night the lively town with plenty of restaurants and stores will attract you. Day 7: Tamarindo
Day at leisure to relax at the beach. Night in Tamarindo.
Day 8: Tamarindo
Sail the morning away on a catamaran cruise and explore the Costa Rica's gold coast. Take in the beautiful exotic bays, white sand beaches and tropical jungles. You can enjoy snorkeling and wildlife sightings such as dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish or even a breaching whale. Night in Tamarindo.
Day 9: Tamarindo
Morning at leisure.
Leave just after sunset for the Turtle Nesting tour taking place on a protected beach located 30 minutes away from Tamarindo. Observe the Olive Ridley and Green Pacific sea turtles lay their eggs at a series of secluded beaches near Playa Grande (this tour is available from November to to April) Night in Tamarindo.
Day 10: Tamarindo - Arenal
Early morning, private transportation will be provided to La Fortuna. Home to the Arenal Volcano and another great destination for adventure and nature lovers. Check in at your hotel. Night in Arenal.
Day 11: Arenal
Morning at leisure.
Afternoon tour to the Asis Wildlife Rescue Center in La Fortuna. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the reserve with a local guide to get to know each animal and their story. You will learn about why animal conservation is important, how it should be done, and what impact you are making while enjoying the tour. Night in Arenal.
Day 12: Arenal - Manuel Antonio
Private transportation will be provided to Manuel Antonio, Quepos. Manuel Antonio is a popular coastal village surrounded by lush jungle and pristine white sand beaches and home to the most visited national park in Costa Rica. Check in at your hotel. Night in Manuel Antonio.
Day 13: Manuel Antonio
Morning pick up at your hotel to visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. This 3 hour tour will show you beautiful white sand beaches, coral reefs and abundant wildlife such us white faced and howler monkeys, toucans, two toed sloths and the scarlet macaws. Back at the hotel, enjoy an afternoon with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. Night in Manuel Antonio.
Day 14: Manuel Antonio - Alajuela
Private transportation will be provided to your hotel in Alajuela for your last night in Costa Rica. Night in Alajuela.
Day 15: Departure - SJO International Airport
