Reventazón White Water Rafting
Almost everyone will enjoy this truly delightful rafting experience,
which is particularly ideal for those testing themselves on whitewater
for the very first time. This section of Reventazón River
begins near a picturesque train station that was once a stop along
Costa Rica's famous Jungle Train. The journey continues along this
classic trajectory, offering beautiful jungle scenery with wide-open
spaces and the magnificent Turrialba Volcano as a backdrop. The
emotion of numerous rapids completes this exceptional white-water
experience on the mighty Reventazón River.
Guests
are picked up from their San José hotel in a comfortable
minibus for the journey to the river put in. This trip offers the
additional highlight of traveling through the emerald forests of
Braulio Carrillo National Park. Spectacular views of mist-shrouded
virgin rain forest stretch out as far as the eye can see as the
bus winds through this protected area's mountains and valleys.

Down
in the tropical lowlands, the tour stops for a traditional Costa
Rican breakfast before continuing on to the river put in. After
some brief safety instructions at the river, the rafts are launched
and this exciting white-water journey begins. A delicious lunch
of sandwiches, fruits and dessert is served on the banks of the
river during the trip. At the river take out, guests can change
into dry clothes in our private restroom facilities before boarding
the comfortable minibus for the return drive to San José.
