Pacific
Coast Sport Fishing

Costa Rica is a world leader in tropical fishing vacations. Anglers
on their first visit are always amazed by the quantity and size
of the fish in the warm, deep waters off both coasts. Plenty of
jacks, snappers, yellow-fin tuna, tarpon, wahoo and roosterfish
are ready to grab the hook and battle with anglers until one becomes
the conqueror and the other the conquered.
Costa
Rica's tropical waters attract anglers from across the globe
to catch record numbers of sailfish, blue marlin, striped
marlin, roosterfish, snapper and huge tunas off the Pacific
coast.Costa Rica holds 40 line test records, 24 fly rod
records and 21 all-tackle records - a total of 85 International
Game Fish Association world records. Line test records include
a 162-pound blue marlin and a 111-pound Pacific sailfish.
