operator is currently expanding his operation and has begun
developing several biking routes for diehard enthusiasts
who want to sweat and work it when on their bikes.
While
there are routes that take as long as six-hours to complete
are also more moderate paths for those less-experienced riders.
Entering
the magical and abundant world of nature in Costa Rica and
experiencing it becomes even more intriguing when one does
it from the seat of a bicycle: because of this, mountain biking
has gradually gained popularity and is currently one of the
many adventure attractions tour operators offer tourists who
want to enjoys nature and be in direct contact with trees,
rivers and the constant harmony produced by this original
ensemble.
To
enjoy this sport, you need to leave the populated areas and
head up towards the forest. Little by little our surrounding

The
slow but steady rise in popularity of mountain biking in Costa
Rica has contributed to the creation of the National Association
of Mountain Bike, which regulates all competitions held in
the country.
The
competition organizer believes this is an activity for everyone,
they have divided participants into seven basic groups: children,
five to ten years of age of 11 an 15; juvenile, for youths
of 16 and 17 years of age; novices, 18 years and up. Also,
they have introduced a separate category for women and veteran's
category which includes anyone 35 or older.
Today's
entire families enjoy going out on excursions, which have
become a decidable way of speeding time together and enjoying
the forest and mountains.
There
are numerous destination within the country that can an be
enjoyed on a bicycle: In Liberia, Rincón de la Vieja Volcano,
San Carlos, Tacacorí de Alajuela, San Rafael de Heredia, Escazú,
Turrialba, Orosí and many more.
It
is important to emphasize the significance of conserving our
environment to ensure that future generations have the chance
to appreciate Costa Rica's impressive biodiversity- and its
sheer beauty- from the seat of a mountain bike. |
