In Costa Rica you can encounter everything from frost in the early morning on the high mountains to a hot midday sun on the coast. Some times the nights in San Jose can be chilly, so to bring a jacket will be wise, light clothes that can be layered will serve also.

Also remember that if you are traveling to a remote spot by a small plane there are some restrictions on limit luggage usually 26 pounds are allowed per person. Comfortable, light weight clothing that can be layered is best. A jacket or sweater is necessary for visits to higher altitudes. If you plans to take a natural tours., sturdy footwear and rain gear is advisable for wet conditions. Make sure you bring sunscreen.
