Advices
In order
to ensure that friends visiting us in Costa Rica have a safe
and enjoyable vacation, we would like to offer the following
pieces of advice, as valid here as anywhere in the world:
1.
Carry a copy of your passport, the page with your photograph
and your entrance into the country, leave the original in
your hotel safe.
2.
Keep a copy of your travelers check number, as well as any
sums of money you might have with you on your trip, in the
hotel safe.
3.
Change money at the bank.
4.
When on the street, do not carry great sums of cash nor expensive
jewelry. Keep an eye on any valuable objects such as camera,
binoculars, video camera, etc.
5.
Make sure your wallet is always in a safe pocket.
6.
Park your automobile in a parking lot and not on the street;
never leave anything of value in the car, nor within view
of passers-by.
7.
When traveling at night, ask the desk attendant of your hotel
to call you a cab from a reliable company.
8.
Ask for any information you need at the hotel reception.
9.
When going out to make any kind of payment, carry only the
sum you will need. Never show your money..
10.
Plan you routes ahead of time, so that you can get all the
necessary information before you leave. Consult your hotel
or tour operator,etc.
11.
At nigh, do not travel along deserted roads or where there
are no people.
12.
In cases of emergency you should call : 911.
